What is your average project size?
We work on a wide variety of projects with different requirements and complexity. Projects can range from as simple as an iPhone case to as complex and elaborate as an electrical/mechanical medical device.
Who is on your staff?
We employ engineers from varying disciplines including biomedical, mechanical, and electrical.
Can you help with manufacturing?
Yes. We work with partners, both domestically and abroad, to streamline the manufacturing process for our customers and ensure that they receive a high quality and affordable option. We have non-disclosure contracts with each of our partners, so you never have to worry about any the security of any of your design details.
Do you sign NDA’s?
Yes. We have a standard non-disclosure agreement that we use. However, if you prefer to use your own NDA, we would be more than happy to sign that.
Have any of the products you have worked with won any rewards?
Yes. Many of the products we’ve worked with have been recognized for excellence. Most recently, the Klinggon, Invented by Francisco Garcia and Gustavo Leo won “Consumer Product of the Year” by the Davinci Institute in Colorado.
What industries have you worked in and designed for?
We have worked in several different industries, but we primarily work in the medical, consumer products, and defense industries.
What tools do you use to design and prototype products?
We use a series of tools and software for designing and prototyping. Here are a few of the main ones:
- Autodesk® 3ds Max Design
- Autodesk® AutoCAD
- Autodesk® Alias
- Autodesk® Inventor
- Autodesk® Navisworks
- Autodesk® Showcase
- Autodesk® Simulation
- Autodesk® Vault
What is the turnaround time for design projects?
Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this. Turnaround time varies on the complexity of the project. A simple project could have a turnaround time of as little as 10 business days.
What is the initial investment needed to start a project?
Once we determine your project’s requirements, an initial investment of 50% is required.
Can you make physical prototypes?
Yes. Our customers have the option of creating a rapid prototype/3D print their prototypes. This is much faster and less costly than traditional methods of physical prototyping. Additionally, if you already have a design, we offer standalone 3D printing services to get a physical prototype in your hands fast.
What file formats do you accept?
We can work with Autodesk® Inventor, Solidworks, CATIA, IGES, STL, and STEP files.
How do you assure the product you design works?
We use a combination of simulation software and physical prototyping to ensure that our customers always receive a working product. We will never deliver to you a non-working project.
Where are your customers primarily from?
We have a largely US based clientele, but we also work with foreign clients and entities.
What separates you from the competition?
Our in-house rapid prototyping technology and full digital prototyping portfolio of products used to design and optimize all of our customer’s designs and competitive pricing place us a step above the competition.
What do I need to start a project with you?
You can come to us with as little as an idea and we will make it a reality. Depending on the project, we will draw up a sketch of your design, bring it into the 3D space, customize it to your specifications, and print it on our in-house 3D printer.
How do you review projects with your customers?
We have clients all over the country and all over the globe. If you are unavailable for a live on-site meeting, we offer video web meetings with screen-sharing so you can see exactly what your product will look like. If you prefer a more hands-on approach, with a simple download you can review the 3D files yourself on your home or office computer.
Do you charge for initial consultation?
No, all initial consultations and quotes are free of charge.
Do you offer consulting to help companies streamline internal design projects?
Yes. For consulting information, please contact us.
